In the year 2000 PXRN started painting the walls around Bulgaria as part of the notorious graffiti crew ND2ND. Back then PXRN with no doubt was the most adequate word that described the reality in the totally confused, filthy, messy but at the same time beautifully arousing post-communist Bulgarian reality. Understandably most pedestrians who spotted PXRN around the streets were shocked, a few, of course, got the idea pretty well.
 
Now in 2017 a lot has changed but PXRN still stands totally adequate below his provocative paintings and sculptures which yet again give a striking, spot on description of the social, political and cultural phenomena that surround us and sometimes make us want to vomit.
 
No, no, don’t get it wrong – PXRN didn’t leave the streets, he just took their harsh charm and brought it into the galleries through his artworks, so that people can stop for a second and think about all the things they pass by in their hectic and repetitive daily routines.
 
PXRN’s art is a rare combination of classical fine arts knowledge and street style.
One could define it as a cumshot in the eye of this stiff, politically correct, narrow-minded, i-am-so-afraid-of-thinking-that-i-prefer-to-take-everything-for-granted citizen of the world, and he would be damn right.
